Between Breaths
A man emerges from the sea.
His breath meets the air again, slow and heavy.
Around him, the water closes and forgets.
These photographs trace the rhythm of spearfishing,
the quiet intervals between descent and return,
between control and surrender.
Nothing was staged.
Each frame exists by chance and light,
shaped by the tide and the body’s repetition.
Captured across the island of Corfu in the summer of 2025,
these works move between documentary observation and quiet study.
Whether on land or at sea, each image stays close to what the moment offers,
holding the trace of what passes and what remains.
