What do the people of Amsterdam really think about the tourists in their city?


With this question in mind, I set out through the overwhelming streets of Amsterdam, engaging in conversations with willing residents. I transformed their collected answers into postcards and designed transparent envelopes that can be combined in the most amusing ways. Thanks to the variety of cards and envelopes, sarcastic outcomes are also possible—something we, as Dutch people, enjoy so much. These creations serve as both an outlet and a conversation starter for the residents of Amsterdam.
This project was exhibited in Eindhoven in June 2024, together with my class. During the exhibition, visitors could choose an envelope for their card and drop it on the mat themselves.
